Our TRUSTeNEWS e-bulletin is an email service designed to keep you up to date with HHT events, special offers and other news. You can only be added to the e-bulletin list at your request or if you give us permission to do so. Your name and email address are recorded in order for us to personalise and send the e-bulletin. We will never provide the e-bulletin list to other organisations; however, we may promote special offers from other organisations in the e-bulletin.

When you enter Lucky Door Prizes at HHT properties, events and festivals

When you visit HHT properties, events or festivals you may complete a form to enter a Lucky Door Prize. Recording your name and contact details on the form is necessary so that we can contact you if you win a prize. You will also be required to indicate if you do not wish to join our mailing list. You may also provide optional information such as your age range, how you heard about the event, your interests and how you travelled to the event. This information (with the exception of your interests) is used anonymously for statistical purposes. If you have nominated that you wish to be included on an email or mailing list, we will record your contact details, interests and event attendance in your database record. This helps us to tailor products and services to your preferences.

Receiving mail from Historic Houses Trust?

Your personal information may be used by various departments of the HHT to post or e-mail material to you. The main department to post or e-mail material is Marketing and this is based on people’s requests, preferences, interests and past attendance or purchasing behaviour with the HHT. Marketing conducts a quarterly mailout, and then occasional mailouts regarding special events and exhibitions. Most people find these mailouts extremely beneficial as they’re kept up to date on the latest HHT events, exhibitions and news.

However if you receive mail and don’t want to receive mail, you can request to have your record updated and be removed from that mailing list at any time. Please direct your request to the Marketing database manager. To fulfil this we need you to include your full name, the postal or e-mail address where the mail was directed to and a brief description of what was included.

How is personal information stored and how can I access and change my information?

When you subscribe to a HHT email or mailing list, book and pay for an event, purchase membership, make a donation, or purchase products online, your details are recorded on a secure database.

You have the right to access the personal information that you provide to us. You can access this information by contacting us via phone, email, fax or mail. You will need to request the type of personal information you want and the purpose for which the personal information would have been collected.

When we post mail to you, the reverse of the envelope will usually include a form that you can fax or post back to us with your correct details so they can be updated, and with an opt-out so you can request to be removed from the mailing list. Likewise if you receive our e-bulletins, you can request that your details be changed or that you be removed from the list by sending a reply email or by unsubscribing via this website. Every e-bulletin will provide the option to unsubscribe from the e-mail list.

The HHT will always take reasonable steps to correct information that is incomplete, inaccurate, out-of-date or misleading. You can change your personal information and subscriptions by contacting us via phone, email, fax or mail. For contact details see the further information and feedback section of this page.
